Hey Perry Middle School Student Council Members!
At our last meeting we discussed the Holiday Dance on Friday, December 11th and made posters advertising ticket sales. Our next metting is on January and the date is to be announced. Listen to the announcements for more news!

I want to thank everyone that ran for office. Each of you had some wonderful ideas to bring to Student Council.

Also, next week is the start of our Student Council Food Drive which will run through November 20th. Show your support and help our community by bringing in non-perishable food items to your FIRST CORE CLASS and encouraging your fellow classmates to do so too! Those of you who signed up for boxing and delivering food remember Thursday the 19th and Friday the 20th are the dates. :)

Update

We met today and the votes are in! The results will be announced at the end of this week. The PMS food drive is coming! It will be from November 14-20. Please bring in canned/boxed goods to your FIRST CORE CLASS! Encourage your classmates to help out. The winning class in each grade will receive a pizza/doughnut party! Support your student council and those in need :)

Next Meeting

Our next Student Council meeting is Wednesday, October 28. We will be voting on officers and talking about our upcoming food drive. See you then!

October 7, 2009 notes

Thanks for a great meeting today! We did a little icebreaker to meet everyone, discussed the idea of having a theme this year, and upcoming events. Our next meeting is Wednesday, October 21 after school in room 209. Please make sure to bring sign-up forms to me by then. Also, bring ideas to share for a possible student council theme for this year.

ONE MORE THING - IF you plan to run for office (President, VP, treasurer, secretary) PLEASE turn in your form BEFORE the next meeting. We will be voting at our next meeting.
